St Dominic`s is a Catholic voluntary aided primary school centrally situated in a quiet area just off the main road in Athersley. 

Our school is for boys and girls aged from 3 to 11 years.  The school serves the 5 parishes of Blessed Sacrament, Athersley;  St Teresa`s, Darton; St Joseph`s, Royston; St Mary Magdalene, Cudworth and St Paul`s, Grimethorpe.

Parents and children come from a wide area in and around Barnsley, drawn to the caring and compassionate nature of our school and its wholly inclusive ethos.
