Our Last Christmas at St Dominic`s ...
We celebrated our last Christmas at St Dominic`s with a Christmas Celebration Open Evening. Parents, grandparents, children, past friends and colleagues came into school to join us in an evening that will be difficult to forget.
Santa was in attendance giving boys and girls presents and proved that he had a very good memory about who wanted what for Christmas! Mrs Christmas and her little helper were also on hand to help Santa who was very busy indeed!
Everyone was invited to look around our school and see the wonderful learning going on in school and the magnificent Christmas displays. This year our theme for whole school display was `Recycling`.
It was a lovely, enjoyable evening and the mince pies, teas and coffees were a welcome treat!

Babushka - Key Stage 2 Christmas Production
Our Key Stage 2 Christmas production this year was `Babushka`. Babushka is an old lady so hooked on housework that it`s the most important thing in her life. She doesn`t want to know when a whole `host` of strangers appear at her door dressed in white to tell her about the birth of a very special child. She doesn`t want to listen to the kings who pay a visit on their way to find the new child who is to be the light of the world ... Will she miss out on the great event altogether to carry on cleaning? Our story had a very happy ending! See the slideshow below ...
Foundation Stage Nativities
Children in Nursery (morning and afternoon) and the Reception class presented `Happy Birthday Jesus!`, telling the story of the Nativity, to families and friends.
`Hosanna Rock!` - Key Stage One Christmas Production
Key Stage One presented their lively Christmas production `Hosanna Rock!`. Our production focused on the true meaning of Christmas - with some upbeat contemporary music together with hand-jives and step-dances!
